About Celerway Communication

Celerway was founded in 2012 by Kristian Evensen, Audun Fosselie Hansen and Simula Research Laboratory. The original motivation was the poor utilization of bandwidth and frequent instabilities often seen in mobile and broadband networks. The problem, as originally framed, was: Why should we accept poor network performance when we know that there is more than enough capacity in surrounding mobile and WiFi networks?

The founders have worked with TCP acceleration, aggregation, bonding, handover, resilient routing, multi-link http, security, developing algorithms and patents since late nineties. Celerway has drawn on this experience to develop software for optimized multi-WAN utilization, even in very heterogenous and dynamic networks. Prototypes have been developed for smartphones, pads, Linux, and Windows clients. More recently the focus has become affordable multi-WAN routers based on OpenWRT/LEDE, including  cloud-based management systems to control and optimize performance.

We have built a strong international team with top programmers, researchers and very experienced COO and CCO that have lead large teams on technical development and sales with operators and vendors.

Currently we are working on growing the company internationally.

Celerway has an international team with broad technical and commercial experience from international companies and research projects. Six nationalities are represented in the company, and the team has experience from working for companies like Nokia, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Ericsson, Telenor, and TDC.
